Food is what you would expect from a affordable restaurant. Really the only affordable dining parlor left in Chinatown.
Gave me food posing
This is the cheapest dim sum I have found yet without sacrificing sanitary conditions. It's really loud and always really busy. But each item is between $2-3 on average, where most other places charge $5-7. The flavors are pretty good for what you're paying, but don't expect top class for only three dollars!
bad service! very rude server!
Just right for the visit and clean environment
Awesome place to sit back and enjoy a great variety of dimsums. We enjoyed the experience
Nice Dim Sum. Service was a little slow but the food was okay
Good customer service, spoke english and chinese so its not hard to order. Friendly staff
It is ok.
If i could give them a no star I would! Manager REFUSED to put our family of 9 at a larger table. They wanted to seat us by the door when it's 39 degrees outside. And we had kids with us. We pleaded kindly to have our table switched but he said no when we clearly saw 3 large tables inside EMPTY!!!! If this is how they want to start off Chinese New Year with a bad review then so be it!
Food was good, service also good.
Everything was authentic and perfectly prepared. The roast pork had a crispy crunchy skin and moist savory meat with a thin layer of fat. The soy sauce chicken was perfectly delicious, with a thin crisp skin. We also had a whole steamed fish, lobster Cantonese, and mixed vegetables with fried tofu. All excellent.
Delicious!
Easy to get seating when you get there super early (i.e. prior to 10am). Food is piping hot and fresh out of the oven. Only problem is not enough options besides the basics and it’s not pushed frequently enough.
I ate here good dim sum. Recommend. PS the building itself is very beautiful, in Europe we dont have this style (with metal stairs outside on outside wall).
My large party had the following dishes and these all tasted good. shrimp with mayolobster Cantonese styleclams with black bean saucefried flounder salt & pepper fried calamari fried pork chopscrispy chicken
Great service and the food was lovely
Came here for classic Cantonese cuisine on a warm night in Spring. We decided to come for dinner after hearing some good reviews from relatives. We got there a little after 6 pm and it wasn't busy yet. Once we started to order, our 7 dishes came out pretty quickly one after the other within 15 minutes apart. Good seasoning and we were in and out within an hour. After we left at 7 pm, their were droves of people that came in to eat which turned out to be a busy Saturday night for them.
Food is always great here, never a disappointment. Portions are big, great for a large family and friends gathering. Dim sum in the morning are prefect, small wait time for seating or little to none. The ladies that push the carts around are helpful to explain what each dish is as best they can to non Chinese or newbies to dim sum. Prices are average.
Dim sum was fantastic and very inexpensive. I had two orders of pork shu mai, an order of shrimp dumplings, an order of BBQ chicken buns and spare ribs in black bean sauce for $15. Gerat value!
Good food and service.
We enjoyed all the dishes each of us ordered, their Buddha delight crispy rolls on the dinner menu never disappoint. This place makes the best! Only thing is their servers need to be a bit more attentive. Of course one have to realize that their English is limited 😅
Aweful table Manors and hair on food
Not enough air conditioning and dirty bathroom.
Equal to Hop Sing but with table cloths. Classic dim sum dishes. Very consistent with the qualities of chow fun, pan fried noodles. As of 05/10/18, this is the place for comfort food dim sum, until Hop Shing at Bowery reopens.
Food is good and not expensive.
Service excellent...food - mediocre.
Good place for dim sum & noodle dishes for lunch. Great place for banquets, special occasions, and for large family gatherings. Food is delicious and generous portions.
They put their hair in my friends food
Dim sum was ok, unfortunately very limited selections very disappointed
This place has great food and service for a great price in China town
To die for! A definite must if your looking for authentic Chinese food! Will come back every year when we visit for the Holidays!
Good Chinese Food. Took kind of long for wait staff to take food order. Took a while for food to arrive and tht restaurant was not even busy.
This place is very racist. I walked in with my 2 Male friends at 6:44 pm. We had been filming al day and wanted to go get some hot tea. We walked in and asked if we can sit for some tea. One worker said yes and proceeded to walk to the back. Another worker then approached us and shook his head and said they have no tea and then TOOK THE MENU FROM MY HAND. It was clear they did not want us to be there. I understand if the restaurant was busy and packed and they didn’t want to waste a table on people drinking tea or coffee but the restaurant was empty. I will never support this place! It’s 2018 for heavens sake. Money is money regardless of who it’s coming from. DO NOT SUPPORT RACIST BUSINESSES
Walnut shrimp was delicious
Food is decent, but WiFi does not work
I liked the Chinese restaurant experience here although the staff wasn’t very friendly and it was very hard to communicate with them. 😁Nobody was talking in English here i think. I’ve never heard an English word. It was very interesting. We wanted the fried rice without the ham but it still had ham in it. And we ordered one more thing from the menu but they didn’t bring it and we still paid for it since none of us wanted to deal with explaining the situation.
When we got their no one would seat us. The staff said they had to wait for a manager to do so or they would get upset. The plates and cups were sticky with old grease. We had to ask to have some of them changed and the waiters were not pleasant about it. They gave us a hard time about using the restrooms as we had a baby with us and needed a changing surface. They don't have changing tables and gave my sister the runaround between the handicap restroom which had a larger counter to put a changing pad on and the regular restroom which didn't. The food was fairly good and the ladies that push the carts knew my grandfather so they were exceptionally sweet. Only good part of the overall experience. This is a place I would chose to go back to.
The food was pretty standard fare. The glassware was cloudy. The carpet and bathrooms were woefully out of date.
Good dim sum place with pushcarts. Handicap toilet on first floor.
Perfect Chinese wedding venue. Delicious food!
Thanks for finding my lost wallet!
Came here for a Lunar NY dinner. Food was alright but service was great. Maybe it was because my friend knew someone but other than that, I think the quality of food could get better and cleanliness.
Excellent dim sum. Get here early while it's still fresh and you can get a good table
Really good Chinese food especially for the New years
One of the better chinese restaurants around the area
Service so so, food great.
We were here for an evening wedding reception and had a table full of dirty silverware and cups! All of the chopsticks and lobster forks were so sticky we washed them in tea. The cups had streaks and one still had lipstick on it. We also had the space until 10PM but we’re rushed out at 9PM. The food was mediocre and the service was lacking
I've been coming here for years with my Chinese grandma. They remember me even when I don't come for half a year or longer. Lately a lot more people that work there speak English, or at least enough to help you if you don't speak Cantonese. ;) The food is always good, and you can get your belly full for under $10 if getting dim sum.
Might be authentic Chinese but I don't want my chicken cleavered with the bones in it and I don't want my sweet and sour pork with the bones in small pieces. Staff very rude when serving. If it wasn't for the funeral I wouldn't have gone in. Won't go back.
